Belize sees showers today, but fairer weather expected Sunday

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A few showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected across parts of Belize today, especially along coastal areas this morning.

According to the National Meteorological Service, a moderate and moist easterly airflow is prevailing, bringing sunny skies with cloudy intervals.

Rainfall activity should gradually decrease during the day before increasing again tonight over southern and some coastal areas.

Inland areas will see the hottest conditions, with temperatures reaching around 94°F. Coastal communities will reach about 89°F, while the hills will remain cooler at 82°F.

At sea, winds will blow from the east at 10 to 20 knots. The sea state will be choppy, with waves between 3 and 5 feet.

Sunday is expected to bring generally fair weather across most of Belize, although the south could see a few additional showers early in the morning.

There are currently no tropical development concerns for the region over the next 48 hours.
