Blacks Power Football Club attained a crucial 2-1 victory over Nebbi Central on match day 27 of the 2025-26 FUFA Big League at the Ebenezar University playground on Sunday, 10th May 2026.
A goal in either half from Isaac Okello and a penalty from Paul Oonyu inspired the Lira based entity to victory before an estatic crowd.
David Ochirachan’s earlier equalizer at the end of the first half turned into a mere consolation.
Okello headed the hosts into the lead after a well delivered ball by Michael Siiwu as early as the 10th minute.
Ochirachan equalized in the 40th minute, beating the off-side trap before expertly finishing past goalkeeper Michael Okiria as the opening half ended 1-goal apiece.
In the second half, the hosts were awarded a penalty in the 63rd minute when Okech was brought down in the forbidden area but Siiwu’s shot to the right was saved.
FIFA Referee William Oloya awarded the second penalty two minutes later when Isaac Okello was butted in the forbidden area with Onyu converting, this time on the left side of the goal posts.
Siiwu hit the cross bar from 40 yards off a dipping free-kick in the 88th minute.
Before the game, there was a moment of silence to honour the life of a devoted football fan Joe “Biggie” Ebong who died while watching the Manchester City versus Everton game in the English premier league.
The maximum points for Blacks Power further consolidate their grip at the summit of the standings with 51 points from 27 outings.
