By Breaking Belize News Staff: Breaking Belize News has confirmed that Denvoy Feliciano Bartley of Banak Street, Belize City, is the man who was murdered in a triple shooting in Unitedville Village on Saturday night.
Bartley was reportedly travelling with his twin brother and another man when the group was targeted near a bus stop while carrying out an errand in the village. All three men were rushed to the Western Regional Hospital, where Bartley later succumbed to his injuries. The two other victims remain hospitalized.
Bartley had previously survived a shooting in Belize City in April 2021. He was later charged in 2023 with the murder of Lionel Budna; however, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions discontinued the case in November 2024 by entering a nolle prosequi, and Bartley was released after spending more than a year on remand.
Police investigations into Saturday night’s murder are continuing.
