Dr. Curlee Ross, a practicing physician in Los Angeles for more than 50 years, recently passed away at the age of 96. His family announced that a private memorial service will be held in June. Dr. Ross was born on May 21, 1929, on a farm in Hico, Louisiana, the fourth of 11 children born to Early and Doris Ross. He joined the United States Army at the age of 17 and later passed the “state exam,” which was equivalent to a high school education.
