Da Project and Flyers will play in the finals of the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) Division 1 Playoffs after both taking unassailable two-nil leads in their best of three semifinals series on Sunday night.
Playing in the feature game of a double-header, Da Project completed a two-game sweep of Elite Stingerz with a 78-73 triumph at the JSC basketball complex.
Stingerz, after losing game one by a single point, started strong by outscoring the opponents 17-12 in the first quarter. However, the tides turned in the other three quarters with Da Project taking the other three quarters 28-22, 17-15 and 21-19.
Malik Moore led the scoring for Da Project with 22 points while also grabbing eight rebounds. Terry Dawkins contributed with 20 points and six rebounds while Sadiq Phillip and T-Shawn Lewis had 13 and 11 points respectively. Phillip, who played off the bench, also had 13 rebounds while Lewis grabbed eight of his own.

Keroi Lee led the efforts for Stingerz with 21 points while grabbing a staggering 18 rebounds. Joshua Minner contributed with 17 points and seven rebounds while Brycen Thomas added 10 points.
In Sunday’s opening contest, defending champions Flyers made light work of Ottos to also win their series by a two-nil margin following a 97-64 game-two triumph. Flyers dominated the contest from start to finish, winning all four quarters 28-18, 15-11, 26-19 and 28-16, respectively.
Kevin Cox was the top performer for Flyers with 23 points while grabbing seven rebounds with Adonis Humphreys adding 15 points and 11 rebounds. Xavier Meade had 13 points and 11 rebounds while Nick Moore bagged 12 points and five rebounds all in the winning cause.
In a losing effort, Danny Perez hit 24 points and grabbed four rebounds for Ottos. Nick Strawter had 11 points and 10 rebounds with Warren Boogle sinking 10 points.
