They came back from a goal down to beat TS Galaxy 2-1 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday evening.

The last time City were in the final of the competition, they were still known as Maritzburg United and sadly lost to the now defunct Free State Stars in Cape Town.
TS Galaxy, on the other hand, were looking for their second Nedbank Cup title after famously beating Kaizer Chiefs 1-nil to clinch the trophy in 2019 while they were still playing in the lower league.
