Haircare was the topic with the hair care brand, indie wild, at the vibrant Sephora 5th Ave Pop-Up in New York on April 9th. The pop-up celebrated their launch in Sephora and new products like their best-selling pre-wash Champ Hair and Scalp Oil and new Moonlight Growth Scalp Serum for thinning hair, their Dewy Lip Treatment Hydrating Lip Balm and new indie wild Skin and Hair Trio gift set.

The pop-up event had a massive turnout from over 5,000 beauty enthusiasts with the festive indie wild coffee truck and free travel size indie wild goodies and cheerful summer tote bags. The excitement translated to success with record-breaking success with the entire indie wild line sold out in-store and becoming the first homegrown Indian brand to sell out a Sephora pop-up, as well as on the retailer’s platform.
Beauty lovers got a chance to only get fun and exclusive giveaways and to meet the founder and global influencer and content creator, Diipa Buller-Khosla. The India-born Buller-Khosla currently has 3.1 million followers. She has collaborated with beauty brands such as MAC, Estee Lauder and Maybelline and was featured in their campaigns and editorial features.

In October 2021, Buller-Khosla co-founded the vegan indie wild with her husband Oleg Buller-Khosla. The beauty brand began as a brand that focuses on hair and skin products and the traditional practice of Indian Ayurvedic beauty in Mumbai. Now the brand has closed a $5 million investment through a spot with a spot in the 2024 Sephora Accelerate program. to fuel its global Sephora partnership and is expanding with their new partnership with LVWH-owned retailer and plan to launch in over 178 Sephora stores nationally by the end of 2026 and anticipate a global revenue of over $20 million by the end of 2026.
Buller-Khosla wearing he brand’s signature bright sunny yellow with the indie wild team with a special guest, her 63 year-old mother Sangitha Khosla , who is an Ayurveda Educator and Trainer. She was sporting the idie wild’s signature color of sunny yellow and her ankle-long length hair, which she credited to her family’s recipes she has developed over the last 40 years. The family recipes lead to the creation of the line’s most popular product, The Pre-Wash Champi Hair and Scalp Oil, that combines five super-oils like castor oil, rosemary extract, hibiscus extract, Vitamin C and Jasmine. According to the brand, a champ oil is sold every 60 seconds online.

The mother-daughter duo warmly greeted fans, many of whom expressed how meaningful it was to see South Asian “There was a buzzing energy representation thriving in the beauty industry.in the air today, nothing like we could’ve imagined!” said Buller-Khosla “Grateful to each one of you who showed up, cheered us on, and believed in the vision,” she said.
