Fond D’Or Jazz, one of the leading community Jazz events in the past, returns this year after a short hiatus. The family-friendly cultural showcase with world-class performances is set for Sunday, May 3, at the Fond D’Or Heritage Park.

The community-based jazz showcase will feature world-class performances, rich cultural expression, and a family-friendly atmosphere, making it an experience for all ages.

Headlining the event is Jamaican reggae and soul sensation Duane Stephenson, alongside a strong lineup of Saint Lucia’s top performers, including Ronald ‘Boo’ Hinkson, Teddyson John, Surbance, Carl Gustave, and Avot Sevis.

The Dennery North and South Steel Bands are also expected to deliver vibrant performances, adding a distinctly local rhythm to the showcase.

Chairperson of the Fond D’ Or Jazz Committee, Cornelius Edmund, said the return of the event represents more than just entertainment; it signals a revival of community spirit and cultural pride.

“Fond D’Or Jazz has always been about bringing people together through music, culture, and community,” Edmund said. “After the break, we’re excited to return bigger and better, with a lineup that truly reflects the richness of Saint Lucian talent alongside regional excellence and world-class performances.”

He added that the event is intentionally designed to be inclusive and accessible.

“This is not just a show; it’s a full cultural and family experience. We want families to come out, enjoy the music, the setting, and reconnect with our heritage in a safe and welcoming environment,” Edmund noted.

Organisers say this year’s staging is expected to attract both local patrons and visitors, reinforcing Dennery’s growing reputation as a hub for cultural events on the island’s east coast.
