Former Ogun Lawmake, Hon. Osho Ends Free CBT Training, Support Hundreds of Candidates

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. (Barr) Solomon Oluwaseyi Osho is set to conclude the 2026 edition of his annual free Computer-Based Test (CBT) training program for candidates preparing for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Our correspondent gathered that the training, organised under his May-Five Foundation, is scheduled to hold on April 11 and 12 at the ICT Centre of Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade, with sessions running daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The program, according to the organizers, will be facilitated by education expert Tajudeen Odufeso, who is expected to guide participants on strategies and technical skills required to excel in the computer-based examination.

Beyond the training, the foundation has also sponsored hundreds of candidates for this year’s UTME, easing the financial burden on many families and improving access to higher education opportunities.

While speaking on the rationale behind the initiative, Hon. Osho, who is also the Mayegun of Isara Remo, reiterated his commitment to educational development, describing education as the bedrock of any progressive society.

He noted that the program is part of his broader efforts to support young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Our correspondent also reports that Hon. Osho, a London-trained lawyer, has over the years sustained various educational interventions, including scholarship schemes and the distribution of learning materials across Remo and other parts of Ogun State.
