Gift of the Givers provides food for the immigrants in Musina

Disaster relief organisation, Gift of the Givers Foundation, has started providing relief such as food for the immigrants at a repatriation centre in Musina, Limpopo.

Its spokesperson Clifford Mabe says they have rounded up teams from some parts of the country to ensure the continued supply of three meals per day to the migrants.

Mabe says the will be providing relief until all the migrants have been processed and cleared for repatriation.

“Since Thursday, we fed about 11,250 which is at showground and this camp, I think, everyone is here at this camp. So, the whole team is here. We deployed teams from Cape Town teams, from East London to make sure that we can cover everyone in the camp. Just now, we just spoke to one of the drivers that are from Cape Town, five buses just arrived here from Cape Town. We have got big muscles. So, we will be here until everyone is cleared to cross the border.”
