Maputo (MOZTIMES) – The Mozambican government has approved new regulations governing domestic work, replacing legislation that had been in force for nearly two decades and bringing the sector closer to international labour standards aimed at protecting one of the most vulnerable sectors of the country’s work force.
The Council of Ministers on Tuesday approved a decree establishing a new legal framework for domestic workers, revoking an old Decree as part of efforts to align labour relations with the country's Labour Law adopted in 2023.
