K1llbrady Honours AKA With New Track Preview Ahead of Upcoming Project. South African trap artist K1llbrady has sparked excitement across the local hip-hop scene after previewing an unreleased track that appears to pay tribute to the late rap superstar Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.

A clip from the 21-year-old rapper’s Instagram Live began circulating on social media. The roughly four-minute footage captures K1llbrady, born Lebohang Sandile Sithole and also known as El Guapo, delivering verses with intensity while engaging with viewers watching the livestream.

The moment quickly caught the attention of hip-hop enthusiasts, many of whom picked up on the apparent AKA influence in the track’s delivery and energy. Several viewers praised the preview, describing the unreleased song as a potential hit, while others expressed excitement about K1llbrady’s musical direction.

K1llbrady added to the anticipation shortly after the clip gained traction, reposting the circulating footage with a brief but telling message: “PROJECT READY.”

The announcement has further fuelled speculation surrounding his upcoming FYBR (First Year Being Rich) project, which is expected to be released in November. The release follows the success of FYBR P1: Familia Pack, which reportedly topped Apple Music South Africa’s charts across multiple genres, strengthening the young rapper’s growing presence in the local music industry.

The apparent dedication to AKA also carries significance within South African hip-hop. Forbes, who was murdered in Durban in February 2023, left behind a lasting musical legacy that continues to influence emerging artists. Known for his distinctive delivery, confident presence and contribution to the genre, AKA remains an important figure for many rappers navigating the industry today.

For K1llbrady, previewing a song that appears to honour the late star offers a moment to acknowledge that influence while continuing to establish his own identity. Reactions to the footage have highlighted a mix of nostalgia, excitement and appreciation for the connection between different generations of South African hip-hop.
