Mama Joy has courted controversy for posting pictures with grieving relatives of Jayden Adams at his funeral on Saturday, 25 July.

The Bafana Bafana player is believed to have taken his own life earlier this month after returning with the national squad from the FIFA World Cup.
MAMA JOY SLAMMED OVER JAYDEN ADAMS POST
On her X account, Mama Joy revealed that she would be flying to Cape Town to attend Jayden Adams’s funeral service.
Later, she shocked her followers by posting pictures with grieving relatives. One of the pics featured Jayden’s grandmother, whom she incorrectly referred to as his mother.
In another, she reposted images of herself that were screenshots from a livestream of the funeral service.
The sports supporter’s posts at Jayden Adams’s funeral attracted widespread backlash from X users who labelled her “insensitive” and “shameless”.
@razohsthe: “Using someone’s grief for content makes you a despicable person, shame on you”
@Deepsta45: “This gogo is shameless. Using a grieving family for your own ego booster”
@BeeCeeForty5: “You are living the life of a 10-year-old. Everything is content for you. That family is grieving and wena o pusha content”
@Zone345689: “There was NO need for this picture. This is very insensitive and self-sensitive. She has lost her child”.
‘I AM SHATTERED’
Speaking to the media outside the funeral, Mama Joy recalled a moment she saw Jayden Adams play during a match at the FIFA World Cup last month.
She said: “He waved [at me] and I waved back. He had more years to come. I didnt know then that I would be here in Stellenbosch saying my goodbyes.
She continued: “I was waiting for him [to play again] at AFCON. Now he is gone. I don’t know what to say, I am shattered”
