Midfielder Mukungu joins Chegutu Pirates Football Club in Zimbabwe

Rashid Muhammed Mukungu has signed a year-long employment contract with Chegutu Pirates Football Club in Zimbabwe.

The holding midfielder has been a free agent since leaving Abu Dhabi based P.E Sports Club last December.

The former Tooro United, MYDA and Gaddafi football club played has expressed gratitude upon joining the second division entity.

“I am happy for joining Chegutu Pirates Football Club. This is a great club with big ambitions. I was warmly welcomed and the family is great” Mukungu hinted.

Mukungu is a team player famous for his leadership abilities on and off the field of play since the days when he captained St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende.

He is a known workaholic with great timely tackles, ball protection mechanism and unique passing techniques over short and long distances.

Chegutu Pirates Football Club has had a great start to the season with two victories out of the two matches played so far.

Match day three shall witness Chegutu Pirates at home against Ngezi at their Pfupajena fortress.
