By Zoila Palma: The Belize Diaspora Summit successfully brought together Belizeans from across the diaspora, government representatives, and key stakeholders for a day of meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
The Diaspora Relations Unit of the Ministry of Tourism played a central role in welcoming participants, facilitating engagements, and showcasing its ongoing initiatives to strengthen connections between Belize and its diaspora.
Sandhya Murphy, Ambassador for Diaspora Relations, contributed as a panelist, sharing insights on policy engagement and strategies to mobilize diaspora resources.
“Through insightful panel discussions on diaspora nation-building, digital transformation, regional engagement, and youth empowerment, those in attendance exchanged ideas and explored opportunities to foster stronger partnerships that will contribute to Belize’s growth and development,” the Ministry said.
