Namuwongo Blazers secured a dominant 94-64 victory against Sommet in National Basketball League encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Friday.
After beating the City Oilers, the Blazers showed up with yet another stellar performance to complete a double against Sommet.
The birthday boy, Fataki Nyembo had a great day in office dropping 30 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
The Blazers came out of their blocks early opening an eight-point lead at the end of the thrilling opening frame.
In the second quarter, Sommet struggled on offence dropping only 11 points (the lowest in the game) as they trailed by 16 points going into the halftime break.
Fataki Nyembo dropped two long shots beyond the paint before his dunk lit up the Arena. The Blazers kept the foot on the gas pedal taking a 21-point lead into the final period.
Moses Mugisha capped off the game with a simple layup as the Blazers’ bagged the dominant 30-point victory.
Nyembo (30 points), Moses Mugisha (13 points) and Kasereka Tembo (10 points) led the Blazers in double digits.
Peter Cheng (19 points) and Brighton Galiwango (16 points) dropped double digits for Sommet.
