By Breaking Belize News Staff: Nichole Golda McDonald, no stranger to BBN readers, is tonight spending her first night at the Belize Central Prison after she was denied bail for allegedly violating bail conditions imposed just three days ago after a wild weekend incident with healthcare workers at a clinic.

McDonald, 38, of Antelope Street Extension, appeared before Magistrate Neeshad Mohammed late Monday evening, where she was arraigned on charges of harm upon a doctor and aggravated assault upon a nurse, both of the Matron Roberts Clinic on Magazine Road.

McDonald pleaded not guilty to the charges. However, Magistrate Mohammed denied her bail after noting that she had just been granted bail on Friday, June 5, on strict conditions that she not be arrested or charged with any other offense while out on bail.

She was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until August 3, 2026.

According to allegations before the court, on Saturday, June 6, at around 11:00 a.m., McDonald went to Matron Roberts Clinic seeking medical attention after reportedly cutting her toe on glass. While the doctor was attending to another patient, McDonald allegedly entered his office without permission, demanded to be attended to immediately, became aggressive, and punched him to the left side of his cheek, causing pain and swelling.

The 42-year-old nurse reportedly intervened and was also allegedly punched to the left side of her face during the struggle. Both healthcare workers requested court action and were issued medico-legal forms.

The latest charges came only one day after McDonald had met bail on six charges brought against her on Friday. Those charges include two counts of aggravated assault, common assault, damage to property, insulting words, and wounding. Those matters reportedly stem from an earlier incident involving a neighbor and a separate alleged confrontation at a police station.

In the police-related allegations, a police sergeant reported that on Thursday, June 4, McDonald became boisterous while being handed over at Precinct 3 Police Station. He alleged that she punched him to the face, bit his thumb, and later uttered insulting words. Police also allege that when a female constable intervened, McDonald scratched her hand and damaged her watch.

McDonald pleaded not guilty to those six charges on Friday and was granted bail in the sum of $4,000, plus one or two sureties of $2,000 each. Her next court date for those matters is July 27, 2026.

McDonald has previously made public headlines in connection with allegations that she bullied former Commissioner of Police Chester Williams and after having those charges dropped, they were reinstated against her. She is reportedly challenging the decision.
