By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A major traffic accident has been reported near Armenia, just outside Belmopan, with one person confirmed dead.
Preliminary information indicates that the crash involved an 18 wheeler reportedly carrying sand and gravel.
Reports from the scene indicate that at least one person became trapped following the collision, with the heavy truck coming to rest on top of another vehicle or person.
The accident happened along the highway near the Palenque area while travelling south from Belmopan.
