By Zoila Palma: The People’s United Party (PUP) has opened applications for candidates for Mayor and councilor for the 2027 municipal elections. Cayo North Area Representative Michel Chebat invited applicants to step forward and make a difference.
“The time has come to step forward and answer the call to serve! We invite committed, energetic, and community minded residents of Cayo North to apply to run in the upcoming Municipal Elections.
This is your opportunity to make a real difference for our people, our neighborhoods, and the next generation. Together, we can continue building stronger communities, creating opportunities, and moving Cayo North forward,” Chebat send.
Chebat encourages those wishing to serve and represent to apply and “become part of the movement for progress.”
The PUP’s municipal team would face off with 4-term Mayor of San Ignacio and Santa Elena Earl Trapp.
