Polo G Threatens Chef Mal After Vegan Meal Beef
Polo G fires back at a private chef who accused him of being cheap and skipping tips on premium vegan meals.
Polo G just turned a private chef’s viral rant into a full-blown social media showdown that’s got everyone picking sides.
The Chicago rapper fired back at Jamal Owens, better known as Chef Mal, after the vegan chef posted an Instagram video accusing him of being cheap and trying to skip out on payment and tips for premium meals.
Chef Mal claimed he prepared high-end vegan dishes with top-tier ingredients and took no shortcuts, only to have Polo G allegedly try to short him on the agreed-upon price and avoid tipping altogether.
The chef said the situation was so frustrating it nearly pushed him out of the industry entirely, and he used his platform to warn other service workers about getting taken advantage of by rappers who don’t respect their craft.
Polo G’s response came swift and direct. He posted on Instagram Stories claiming the food was nasty and called Chef Mal “thirsty” for chasing clout online.
The rapper then shared screenshots of their conversations, suggesting the chef was trying to charge him premium rates specifically because he’s famous and has money.
Polo G implied the whole situation was manufactured for social media attention and hinted he’d physically confront the chef if given the chance.
“The things ppl be so comfortable to say on the internet u coulda pulled back up on me and said all dat shit u yellin now…but mally malllll don’t trip,” Polo G snarled.
Chef Mal didn’t back down. He responded by calling Polo G “police” for making threats online and told him not to “play games” with him in Florida, where the chef operates.
In his follow-up posts, Chef Mal gave a shoutout to Rick Ross for showing support during the dispute, suggesting the Maybach Music boss had his back.
Rick Ross later acknowledged the situation on his own social media, amplifying Chef Mal’s message about service workers deserving fair compensation.
