On 6 May in Riyadh, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent a written message to His Excellency the President of the Yemeni Leadership Council, Dr Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi.
The letter was delivered by His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, during a reception hosted by His Excellency the President of the Yemeni Leadership Council yesterday.
The letter concerns bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and the coordination of views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
In addition to His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was attended by Mr Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Mauritania’s candidate for the post of Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and Mauritania’s Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, His Excellency Mr Mohamed Lemin Ould Ibrahim.
