THE Premier Soccer League has increased gate charges for the 2026 season, as matchday one roars into life.
The new fares will see the rest of the ground going for US$5, which is a US$2 increase from last season’s US$3.
The VIP section, which used to cost US$5, has now been increased by more than double, as it is now going for US$15, while the VVIP section is now at US$25.
The new gazetted gate charges will take effect this weekend as matchday kicks off
This comes after PSL’s emergency committee sat down in the capital Friday to revise last season’s entry tariffs, which they deemed too low compared to the expenditure that clubs incur.
Below is a leaked letter written by PSL to clubs Friday evening:
“This serves to advise you that the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Emergency Committee convened a meeting on the 5th of March 2026 and resolved to review the minimum gate charges for the 2026 season as follows;
Rest of Ground (Tier 1) -USD$5
VIP /Grandstands (Tier 2)- USD$15
VVIP (Tier 3) – USD$25
“This increase has been necessitated by the increased cost of matchday related services, administrative costs and statutory levy and tax obligations.”
The above-mentioned prices are minimum gate charges, meaning if clubs wish to increase their fees in any of the matches they can write to PSL for approval before doing so.
