THE BC NDP says that OneBC’s “reckless” platform would set British Columbia back and force people to pay the cost with massive cuts to healthcare and services.
Their plan to cut personal and corporate income taxes by 25% and slash the PST would blow a $10.6 billion hole in the provincial budget. These handouts would give the most to big corporations and the wealthy while leaving regular British Columbians to pay the price.
THE BC NDP says that British Columbians know that all of the conservative parties would mean cuts to the healthcare they rely on, and OneBC’s plan to privatize healthcare would drain doctors and nurses from our public health care system, meaning longer wait times and worse care.
Ravi Parmar, candidate for Langford-Highlands, said on Saturday: “While nobody will be shocked by their fixation on culture wars and dividing people in B.C., I’m surprised at their plan to blow a $10.6 billion dollar hole in the budget with handouts to the wealthiest and big corporations. All of the Conservative parties would leave British Columbians to pay the price with cuts to healthcare.”
