Brianna Johnson, a social media star known online as DreamDoll Brii, died on July 5 in a shooting in Miramar, Fla. She was 21.
Johnson — who had a combined following of over 400,000 across Instagram and TikTok — was one of three people driving in a green Lamborghini on a residential road in the South Florida city who were shot at from another vehicle following them, a spokesperson for the Miramar Police Department told People.com.
Police were called to the scene at 5:33 a.m. on July 5. They discovered that the Lamborghini had crashed into a house, and all three individuals inside had been shot, the spokesperson said. The two other victims were both hospitalized, and one is in critical condition.
The police spokesperson said that there is an “active investigation” into the shooting. One critical piece of evidence, the spokesperson said, is a social media post that appears to show some kind of altercation involving the green Lamborghini at a gas station before the shooting.
Johnson shared lifestyle content for her hundreds of thousands of followers.
