“We, the candidates of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party, offer ourselves, individually and collectively, to represent you in the House of Representatives and to advance your interests in the constituencies in which you live and in the country as a whole.
“In offering ourselves, we do so with full awareness of the serious times in which our country and the wider world now live. We know that Antigua and Barbuda is affected by forces beyond our shores, including war, inflation, disruption in trade and shipping, and uncertainty in the global economy. Yet, we also know that our nation has already shown that, under strong and experienced leadership, it can withstand adversity, protect its people, and continue to move forward.
“Together, as a united Labour team under the leadership of Gaston Browne, we have seen our country rise from difficulty to strength. We have seen jobs expand, investment grow, confidence return, and the lives of our people improve. We have seen Antigua and Barbuda recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, withstand natural and external shocks, expand critical infrastructure, strengthen education and health services, and earn growing respect in the international community. These things were achieved by sound leadership, disciplined management, and a clear commitment to the people.
“But we are not content only to defend what has already been built. We are asking for your support to move Antigua and Barbuda into its next and higher stage. That is why this election is about the Renaissance: A New Era for Antigua and Barbuda.
“For us, the Renaissance means national renewal built on achievement. It means a stronger economy, wider opportunity, better roads, improved water distribution, health care brought closer to the people, stronger schools and higher education, greater support for young people, deeper cultural confidence, safer communities, stronger local enterprise, and a more beautiful, more dignified and more self-assured nation.
“The Renaissance also means inclusion. It means building a country in which progress is not reserved for a few but shared by all. It means drawing on the talents, energies and hopes of all our people. It means strengthening communities, empowering families, creating opportunities for workers and entrepreneurs, and ensuring that every Antiguan and Barbudan has a fair chance to rise and to contribute.
“As candidates of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party, we pledge ourselves to this common purpose. We pledge to work together, to serve faithfully, to listen carefully, and to represent vigorously the needs and aspirations of the people. We pledge to uphold the values of democracy, fairness, equal treatment, and respect for every citizen and resident of our country. We pledge to place national interest above personal ambition, and country above division.
“We are proud to stand together as one team. We are proud to stand under a banner of tested leadership, proven delivery and national renewal. And we are proud to ask the people of Antigua and Barbuda to join us in building the Renaissance.
“With your support, Antigua and Barbuda will not drift backwards into uncertainty and failure. With your support, our nation will go forward with confidence into a new era of progress, dignity, opportunity and national pride.
- Together, let us build the Renaissance.
- Together, let us strengthen Antigua and Barbuda.
- Together, let us advance a brighter future for all.
- God bless Our Beloved Nation.”
