SURREY Police Service (SPS) is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in relation to an ongoing investigation.
On April 3 at approximately 8:35 a.m., SPS frontline members entered into an investigation where a male allegedly assaulted a female victim with a weapon in the 17600-block of 58A Avenue. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault.
On April 4, BC Prosecution Service approved a charge against the male suspect.
54-year-old Jason Donald Whyte, 54, is currently wanted on a British Columbia-wide warrant for one count of assault with a weapon.
