By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police are investigating the murder of 16-year-old Isiah Noralez, who was shot and killed in Dangriga on Sunday morning.
According to police, officers responded to a shooting in the Benguche area sometime around 5:00 a.m., where Noralez had reportedly been riding a bicycle when two men on a motorcycle approached him. One of the men then fired shots in his direction, causing fatal injuries.
Noralez was taken for medical treatment but later succumbed to his injuries. Police say he was alone on his bicycle at the time of the shooting.
Investigators believe the killing may have stemmed from a previous dispute involving two persons from Dangriga. Police say Noralez was not known to them, but the suspects are known to police. Two persons are currently in custody as the murder investigation continues.
