Residents of Ketu State Constituency (I) in the Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State have called for the re-election of the Member representing the constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Wahab Haruna Abiodun Egungbohun, citing his impressive achievements in office.

The Ketu Constituency, which comprises over three hundred communities, revealed that Hon. Egungbohun has recorded an impactful representation since 2019, both in legislative contributions and sustainable grassroots development.

Among his impressive achievements that the residents praised him for was his role in the passage of the Anti-Open Grazing Law in Ogun State, a move credited with protecting farmlands, reducing clashes, and promoting peaceful coexistence among residents.

In the education sector, Ketu residents also commended the lawmaker for supporting students and schools through the distribution of books, uniforms, and other learning materials, as well as sponsoring candidates for external examinations such as WAEC and JAMB.

Hon. Egungbohun empowerment programs for youths and women have also received commendation, with the distribution of tools including sewing machines, grinding machines, and hairdressing kits, alongside financial assistance to traders and widows to boost small-scale businesses.

On infrastructure, our correspondent gathered that Hon. Egungbohun facilitated road grading and minor rehabilitation across several communities while also supporting local development initiatives aimed at improving living standards.

Healthcare interventions under his representation include medical outreach programs and distribution of basic health supplies to rural dwellers, particularly vulnerable residents in need of medical attention.

While speaking on other areas, the lawmaker has contributed to his constituency, his Senior Legislative Aide, Oluseye Ahmed Adeolu from Orile Igbooro hinted that farmers within the constituency have equally benefited from his agricultural support programmes through the provision of fertilizers, seedlings, and advocacy for policies that protect their livelihoods.

He said the lawmaker has also maintained regular engagement with constituents, providing palliatives during festive periods and responding promptly to community needs.

His legislative aide also revealed that Hon. Egungbohun has made notable contributions to employment generation within Ketu State Constituency, facilitating job opportunities for several constituents across key government agencies.

He said his efforts have opened doors for residents into the Nigeria Police Force through the Constabulary scheme, as well as into the Ogun State Security Network Agency, Amotekun, thereby strengthening both livelihoods and community security.

Also, the lawmaker has supported the placement of constituents in public service sectors, including the Teaching Service Commission, the Ogun State House of Assembly Service Commission, and the Ministry of Health.

He said these interventions have not only provided stable sources of income for beneficiaries but also enhanced service delivery across education, legislative administration, and healthcare sectors within the state.

Ketu Residents also noted that Hon. Egungbohun performance reflects dedication and responsiveness, adding that granting him another term would ensure continuity of ongoing projects and further development across Ketu State Constituency.
