Side by side they walk
Through a puddle to the sky
Will shehold her hand

The Old
grow fat sitting
on hillsides beyond us
food and fuel povert demands
eat lard

Here stands
a monolith
to civic dignity
Burnished gold
built on workers soul
PROTEST
Fight back
against the yoke
New year honours bestow
with chains, status
newly stastioned
corrupt

Coming up or going down
No longer locked in towers
Mind. Steps still exist

Put in a trunk call
To the elephants of yore
Tell them we’re engaged

From Complicite’s teaching pack, “Begin by experimenting with exploding and constricting the space your students are performing in. Sometimes playing against the realistic space can make a piece much more theatrical. If you make the space bigger you are encouraged to use bigger gestures and voices”.
These White Walls
These white souless walls
Wobble when hit by
glimmers of sunshine
With memories recalled
By these black shadows
Moving across hours
Of vanishing light
In the french chateau
We never went to
Constrained by habit
A sense of order
When we should have flew
To fields pastures new
Away from the dark
Patches appearing
The presence of blue
Leaves rustle beyond
And dapple the walls
I would now knock down
Since our love was wronged
These white souless walls
Our memories recall
