The National Workers Union (NWU) says it has agreed to an 8% wage increase for BELfund workers.
A press release says technical and clerical workers at the government-funded BELfund will get the pay increase over three years, starting in September 2025.
The agreement also brings better working conditions, including improved paternity leave and a new subsistence allowance for field officers. Workers will get back pay as part of the settlement.
The NWU and BELfund plan to officially sign the new agreement at the Labour Commissioner’s office.
