The event marked the return of a tradition that celebrates officers for their years of dedication, commitment, and service to the country.
Officers were recognized for reaching important career milestones, with awards presented to those who have spent decades serving communities across Belize. Others received promotions, marking the next step in their careers within the department.
Police work is often one of the most challenging jobs in the country. Officers are called upon to respond to emergencies, investigate crimes, patrol communities, and maintain public safety, often under difficult circumstances and away from their families.
Home Affairs Minister Oscar Mira said the occasion was about giving recognition to officers whose efforts are not always seen by the public but play an important role in keeping communities safe.
Commissioner of Police Dr. Richard Rosado said it was rewarding to see officers recognized for the sacrifices and commitment they have shown throughout their careers.
