*Cardi B is pursuing a new legal strategy in her effort to collect millions of dollars awarded in her defamation case against Tasha K, this time targeting the blogger’s husband and a company created after the original judgment was entered.

The rapper filed suit on May 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, The NC Beat reports. The defendants are Yelen Entertainment, LLC and Cheickna Kebe, who is married to Tasha K. The action seeks to recover unpaid judgments dating back to 2022 that, according to the complaint, now total more than $3.8 million including accrued interest.

Cardi’s legal team alleges that Yelen Entertainment was established in Florida on May 31, 2022, months after a Georgia federal jury awarded Cardi B nearly $4 million in damages against Tasha K and Kebe Studios, LLC for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Cardi now argues that the new company continued the same business operations while the financial liability remained with Kebe Studios.

The lawsuit also points to financial arrangements that allegedly moved revenue associated with Tasha K’s media operations through Yelen Entertainment. Cardi B claims those arrangements hindered efforts to collect the judgments entered against Tasha K and Kebe Studios.

Another allegation involves a Georgia residential property. The complaint states that Tasha K transferred her ownership interest to Cheickna Kebe through a quitclaim deed in March 2022, less than a month after the judgment was entered.

The filing further cites events that occurred after the original verdict. According to the lawsuit, the judge warned against transferring assets in a manner that could interfere with collection efforts. The complaint also states that Cheickna Kebe later testified under oath that he understood the warning.

Although Tasha K sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2023, the complaint notes that Cardi B retained the ability to pursue claims against non-debtor third parties, including Yelen Entertainment and Cheickna Kebe.

Cardi B is asking the court to set aside the transactions challenged in the lawsuit, including the alleged transfer of assets and revenue streams to Yelen Entertainment as well as the transfer of the Georgia property. She is also seeking additional financial relief based on allegations that the moves were intended to prevent collection of the court-ordered judgment.
