ConCourt set to deliver judgment in the Phala Phala matter
ConCourt to deliver judgment in the Phala Phala matter, after 500k dollars was stolen in 2020
The Constitutional Court is expected to deliver judgment in the Phala Phala matter.
This relates to the theft of more than $500 000 at Cyril Ramaphosa’s farm, Phala Phala farm in Limpopo in February 2020.
The EFF approached the Constitutional Court in 2024 challenging Parliament’s decision not to adopt the Section 89 panel report.
The report found there was prima facie evidence to justify a formal impeachment inquiry into President Cyril Ramaphosa’s conduct relating to the Phala-Phala saga.
The EFF argued that Parliament acted irrationally and unlawfully by failing to hold Ramaphosa accountable, claiming the National Assembly used its majority to shield him.
Judgment is expected to be delivered at 10:00 am.
