According to TMZ, the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder blasted Jay-Z‘s recent Roots Picnic freestyle during an appearance on “The Art of Dialogue,” dismissing the performance as recycled material and arguing that his former business partner relied on old jokes rather than the sharp lyricism that once defined his career.

Dash didn’t stop at the bars. He claimed he actually feels sorry for Jay-Z, suggesting the rap icon appears uncomfortable still performing decades into his career and arguing that today’s performances feel more awkward than impressive.

Then came the grooming critique.

Dash repeatedly mocked Jay-Z’s hairstyle, joking that it distracted him from the lyrics themselves. He even offered some unsolicited advice for Jay-Z’s upcoming Yankee Stadium appearances, recommending a fade haircut, a Yankees cap and a return to the flashier style fans remember.

He also suggested Jay-Z continues mentioning him because doing so helps keep Dash relevant. As for the freestyle itself? Dash called it “bad” and “terrible,” insisting an earlier version of Jay-Z would have come up with something far cleverer.

Steph Curry Lands Reported $400 Million Endorsement Deal

Steph Curry just proved his jump shot isn’t his only money-maker.

The Spun highlighted reporting from ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania that the Golden State Warriors superstar has signed a 10-year endorsement agreement with Chinese sportswear company Li-Ning worth more than $400 million.

According to Charania, Curry received comparable long-term financial commitments from several competing brands, including at least one offer that was reportedly more lucrative. Despite that, Curry chose Li-Ning to help grow Curry Brand.

The reported figure immediately sparked reactions online, with many fans noting that the endorsement deal approaches the amount Curry has earned during his NBA career. Others pointed to earlier speculation that he could eventually land a billion-dollar agreement.

Whether it matched internet expectations or not, the deal reinforces Curry’s standing as one of the world’s most marketable athletes and one of basketball’s most influential global brands.

Idris Elba Officially Becomes Sir Idris Elba

Idris Elba‘s résumé just got even more impressive.

According to Town & Country, the actor received a knighthood from King Charles during a ceremony at Windsor Castle, officially earning the title “Sir” in recognition of his services to young people.

The honor was announced earlier this year as part of the King’s New Year’s Honors list. Elba attended the ceremony alongside his wife, Sabrina Elba, who serves as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations’ International Fund for Agricultural Development.

While many know him for his acting career, the recognition stems from years of community and youth advocacy work. In 2022, he launched the Elba Hope Foundation, which focuses on education, empowerment, youth advocacy and sustainable development.

The honor also carries personal significance. Town & Country noted that Elba received support from The King’s Trust, formerly known as The Prince’s Trust, when he was 18 years old. That assistance helped him attend the National Youth Music Theatre and played an important role in launching his career.

Elba’s connection to King Charles has continued to grow in recent years. The two are collaborating on a Netflix documentary marking the 50th anniversary of the charity founded by the King, and Elba recently joined King Charles and Queen Camilla on a visit to Barking & Dagenham College, home of the Idris Elba Studio.
