Intron Voice AI Launches Sahara v2.5 With Support for 63 African Languages

Intron  Voice AI has launched Sahara v2.5, a new version of its voice artificial intelligence platform designed to better support African language mixing in speech recognition and text-to-speech applications.

Sahara v2.5 also features what Intron describes as the world’s first trilingual African automatic speech recognition (ASR) model supporting Kinyarwanda, English and French.

The company said the release places African language mixing at the centre of voice AI, with code-switching capabilities integrated across both speech recognition and text-to-speech.

With the launch, Intron aims to improve voice AI experiences for multilingual African users by developing systems that can better understand and reproduce the region’s natural patterns of language use.
