ABBOTSFORD Police announced just after 3 p.m. on Monday that it had arrested a man believed to be connected to the weapons call incident at Abbotsford Hospital.
The hospital was put into lockdown and there was a heavy police presence on site.
Officers completed a full search of the hospital and confirmed the building was safe. The lockdown was lifted, and the hospital returned to normal operations. There were no reported injuries, and police said that there was no further public safety risk in the area.
“We wish to thank the public and the hospital staff for their patience and professionalism throughout this incident,” Abbotsford Police said in a post on X.
