Mango Fest 2026 wraps up with culture, community and celebration in Hopkins

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Mango Fest 2026, held on June 13 and 14, 2026, has officially come to an end, leaving behind a weekend filled with music, food, culture, and community spirit in Hopkins Village.

Organizers say this year’s festival was another major success, bringing together residents, visitors, vendors, performers, and supporters to celebrate one of Belize’s most beloved fruits while showcasing the rich culture of the Garifuna community.

The Hopkins BTIA Chapter, which spearheaded the event, expressed gratitude to everyone who helped make the festival possible. From local entrepreneurs and food vendors to volunteers and sponsors, organizers say the event reflected the best of what Hopkins has to offer.

Throughout the two-day festival, attendees enjoyed vibrant cultural performances, creative mango-inspired dishes, local crafts, and family-friendly activities that highlighted the unique character of the village.

This year’s celebration also paid tribute to the legacy of Mary Clarine Castillo, whose vision helped establish Mango Fest as a signature event for Hopkins and a source of pride for the community.

Organizers noted that beyond the entertainment, the festival continues to serve as an important economic boost for local businesses while creating opportunities for small entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services.

The event has grown into one of Belize’s most anticipated community festivals, attracting visitors from across the country and abroad.

As the final celebrations concluded on June 14, organizers thanked everyone who contributed to another successful year and helped strengthen the festival’s reputation as one of Belize’s premier cultural events.

For many attendees, Mango Fest 2026 was more than just a celebration of fruit. It was a celebration of community, culture, entrepreneurship, and the enduring spirit of Hopkins Village.
