CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS — The island of Nevis proudly celebrates TDC Senior Kaiso Monarch 2026, Kairo, following his powerful presentation at the prestigious Leeward Islands Calypso Monarch Competition in Anguilla on Saturday night.
Representing Nevis among the region’s finest calypsonians, Kairo delivered a captivating performance that highlighted the depth of Nevisian culture, storytelling, and lyrical craft. Facing tough competition from across the sub-region—where Montserrat’s De Bear ultimately captured the crown—Kairo stood tall, earning high praise for his commanding stage presence and vocal precision.
“While the overall crown did not come home to Nevis this year, Kairo carried our culture, talent, and national pride onto the regional stage with absolute distinction,” said representatives from Nevis Pages. “To stand among the elite monarchs of the Leeward Islands is an extraordinary achievement in itself.”
