*Oprah Winfrey is expanding her media footprint in a major way, landing an exclusive multiyear partnership with Amazon that covers her podcast, signature franchises, and a substantial library of classic television.
Through the agreement between Amazon and Winfrey’s Harpo Entertainment, the Wondery podcast network gains distribution and advertising rights for “The Oprah Podcast,” Variety reports. Bundled into the deal are the “Oprah’s Book Club” and “Oprah’s Favorite Things” franchises, along with a 25-season archive of the original “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Among the most immediate changes: the podcast doubles its output this summer, moving from one episode per week to two. Beginning in July, Amazon will carry the show across Prime Video, Amazon Music, Fire TV Channels, and Audible, while existing listeners can still find it on YouTube and other streaming platforms. Plans for presenting the archived television library on Amazon’s services have not yet been confirmed.

Winfrey launched the podcast in December 2024, and guests have included Hugh Jackman, Serena Williams, and Maria Shriver. Recorded frequently before live audiences, the show centers on wide-ranging dialogue with cultural figures, public intellectuals, and ordinary people with extraordinary stories.
“Hosting this podcast allows me to continue the work I feel called to do — opening the door for conversations that matter,” Winfrey said in a statement. “Expanding our reach globally is an opportunity I embrace, as we continue to connect through stories that invite new ways of seeing and, hopefully, deepen understanding.”
Amazon VP of audio Steve Boom called the collaboration a chance to bring Winfrey’s voice to more people “in ways only Amazon can deliver.”
