Atlanta recently stepped out in its absolute best for a weekend of style, sophistication, and community impact. The 11th Annual Alpha Derby Weekend, hosted by the Alphas of Atlanta Inc., seamlessly blended philanthropy with high fashion for its signature “party with a purpose.” Continuing a proud legacy of excellence, the 2026 edition successfully raised funds for youth educational initiatives and scholarships, adding to the organization’s historic milestone of nearly $1 million raised over the event’s 11-year run.
From May 1st to May 3rd, the multi-day celebration offered an expertly curated lineup of events, proving that giving back to the community can be just as elegant as it is impactful.
The weekend officially teed off on Friday morning with the Alphas of Atlanta Open Golf Tournament. Held at the beautiful Chapel Hills Golf Club, the premium golf outing brought together style, friendly competition, and philanthropy on the green. Foursomes enjoyed a full day of elevated experiences and camaraderie before heading to the 19th hole.
As the sun set, the energy shifted to Guardian Works for the Kick-Off Social & Concert. As part of the newly introduced Cutwater Concert Series, attendees gathered under the stars to vibe to the sounds of legendary R&B artist Jon B. With Cutwater spirits in hand and smooth 90s and 2000s classics filling the air, the concert set the perfect high-energy tone for the rest of the weekend.
Saturday brought the highly anticipated main event: The 2026 Alpha Derby
Kentucky Derby Watch Party. Returning to the stunning Guardian Works venue, the indoor/outdoor experience was a true spectacle of Southern charm and modern elegance. Guests arrived dressed to impress, sharp suits, pastel dresses, and, of course, show-stopping fascinators and wide-brimmed hats.
The afternoon was packed with entertainment, featuring live DJs, curated vendors, a premium cigar lounge, and surprise interactive exhibits. The fierce but fun Best Hat Competition kept spirits high as everyone eagerly gathered around the screens for the live broadcast of the Kentucky Derby. The atmosphere was electric, matching the thrill of the “most exciting two minutes in sports.”
What better way to close out a weekend of celebration than with a brunch experience that is anything but ordinary? On Sunday, the Alphas wrapped up the festivities with their Unity Brunch and Day Party at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead. The interactive, upbeat finale featured a delicious plated brunch, bottomless mimosas, and a DJ-driven atmosphere that kept the celebration going well into the afternoon. It was a space for reflection, networking, and expressing gratitude for the community’s immense support.
