Saint Lucia’s Port has been welcoming travellers from all over the world as the cruise season enters its peak period. Many are leaving cold northern countries and venturing into the island’s warmer climate for the holidays.
According to the official cruise schedule release by the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, between December 22 and 25, the following vessels docked in Castries: MSC Virtuosa with a capacity of 6,334 passengers on December 22; Viking Sea (930), Silver Spirit (540), Queen Elizabeth (2,547), Celestyal Crystal (1,200), and Seabourn Ovation (604) on December 23; Valiant Lady (2,770), Wind Surf (310), and Ilma (448) on December 24; and on December 25, Norwegian Epic with 4,428 passengers, Costa Fascinosa with 3,780, Le Bellot with 184, and Evrima with 293 passengers.
Over the next few days leading into the New Year, several other vessels are scheduled to visit, including Norwegian Sky with a capacity of 2,004 passengers, Brilliance of the Seas with 2,501, Silver Shadow with 382, Royal Clipper with 227, and AIDAperla with 3,400 passengers on December 26. On December 27, Sea Cloud II is expected with a capacity of 96 passengers. Arrivals on December 28 include Seven Seas Mariner with 700 passengers, Zuiderdam with 2,272, and Royal Clipper, returning with a capacity of 227 passengers.
