President Trump has won nothing

After listening to President Donald Trump try to explain that he won in Iran — while he couldn’t explain what he won — I was confused.

I’ve figured it out.

Even while he was standing with the French President and other world leaders, it was clear that he had nothing truthful to report to the American people. All he seemed to care about was what he received while spending billions of our tax dollars, witnessing the deaths of so many Iranians, and several of our own soldiers.

This was all about how much he wanted to prove that he did everything better than President Barack Obama. All intelligent people know he’s never come close to doing anything better than Obama.

Why does he think people around him wanted to hear his message that was nothing more than a lot of confusion? He delayed the Senate hearing for his own nominee for Intelligence director. Why?

He figured everyone already knows they can’t trust the nominee.

We know he had pressured Congress on a bill to restrict voting even more. We are facing a crisis when he uses every possible thing his little mind can do to restrict voting.

At this point, I don’t think he even trusts his MAGA folk to support him on everything as they have done in the past. I know he’s been losing a lot lately — even with his Supreme Court standbys ready to jump when he instructs them to do so.

Can you imagine a narrow mind like his calling Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson low IQ? He’d already done that to Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett. We know them and know he doesn’t come close to their level of brilliance.

I don’t think the new Fed Chair, Jerome Warsh, made Trump by putting the interest rates on hold. Members of his own party did not accept Trump’s untruths about the Iran War.

Georgia refused to change its voting lines to ensure the GOP wins more House seats by gerrymandering.

As Sen. Raphael Warnock said, Donald Trump is obsessed with power. He’s still taking all he can, including money he has unfairly taken from the taxpayers for his personal aggrandizement. Warnock reminded us amid all the confusion, embarrassment, and pain Trump has caused — not just to us as individuals, but as we, the people.

I don’t know what could make Trump more humane, but we do know we had Barack and Michelle Obama to give us a period of hope. They walked that narrow path with no scandals. Trump has tried to destroy all the good that the Obamas brought to the nation.

We do have something wonderful happening this summer. The wonderful Obama Presidential Center has opened and is greeting thousands of visitors each day.

It’s probably a lot to ask of God, but I pray the next leader of our nation will be able to bring back the hope our ancestors gave their lives to achieve.
