A private pool waits for you beyond a pair of French doors. A hammock for two hangs above the deck. Inside, a four-poster mahogany bed, an oversized soaking tub and a bar stocked to your preferences turn the suite into a retreat of its own.
At Serenity at Coconut Bay, every couple gets the same defining feature: a private plunge pool.
The couples-only, all-inclusive resort has just 36 suites, all tucked into a tropical enclave near Saint Lucia’s southern tip. Each one comes with butler service, generous indoor-outdoor living areas and the kind of privacy that can make leaving your suite feel entirely optional.
Serenity is intimate, deeply personal and designed entirely around two people traveling together. You have your own pool. Your own outdoor shower. Your own patio for breakfast or dinner. And a butler who can handle nearly everything else.
A Resort Built Entirely Around Couples
Many adults-only resorts are large hotels with a quieter section, a separate pool or a collection of rooms reserved for couples. Serenity takes a very different approach.
The entire property was created specifically for couples. There are no sprawling accommodation blocks, busy buffet rooms or long walks between distant parts of the resort. The 36 suites form a small village of private hideaways surrounded by palms, gardens and stone pathways.
The result feels closer to a villa retreat than a traditional all-inclusive. You can spend the day in complete privacy, then step out for dinner, cocktails or a swim in the central pool.
The atmosphere works for honeymoons and anniversaries, but it also makes sense for couples who simply want several uninterrupted days together. You are not competing for quiet space. Privacy is built into every suite.
Every Suite Has a Private Plunge Pool
The private pools are the defining feature, and there is no entry-level category without one.
Each suite opens onto a private patio with its own plunge pool and waterfall. The outdoor areas also include loungers, a hammock for two and an open-air shower, creating a separate living space beyond the room.
Inside, the design draws on Saint Lucian materials. Handcrafted mahogany appears in the four-poster beds and furnishings, while river rock and granite add texture to the bathrooms. Oversized soaking tubs, walk-in rain showers, pillow menus and stocked bars reinforce the feeling of a private villa.
There are three suite categories.
The Plunge Pool Butler Suite begins at 1,250 square feet, already larger than many Caribbean hotel suites. The Premium Plunge Pool Butler Suite expands the experience to 1,500 square feet, while the Grande Plunge Pool Butler Suite reaches 1,900 square feet.
Even the smallest category gives you ample room to spend much of the vacation within your own private space. You can swim before breakfast, order lunch to the patio and return to the pool after dinner without crossing the resort.
The Butler Experience
The butler service is far more than luggage assistance and restaurant reservations.
Your butler meets you on arrival, takes you directly to the suite and handles the check-in process privately. Your luggage can be unpacked, your preferred drinks placed in the bar and your first evening’s clothing pressed.
From there, the service can be as involved or discreet as you prefer. Your butler can arrange excursions, secure dinner reservations, organize spa treatments and prepare private meals on your patio. A bath can be drawn with aromatherapy products before you return to the suite. Beach and pool cabanas can be reserved, and cocktails or afternoon canapés can arrive beside the water.
The most appealing part is the freedom it creates. You are not spending the vacation calling different departments or planning each meal. One person already knows your preferences and handles the details.
A private candlelit dinner can be served beside your plunge pool. Breakfast can arrive on the patio. A picnic can be arranged for the beach. Your butler can even coordinate an in-suite couples’ spa treatment.
The experience remains personal without becoming intrusive. You decide how much assistance you want.
Dining at The Greathouse
The resort’s culinary center is The Greathouse, an elegant, mansion-inspired restaurant overlooking the main pool.
You can dine inside beneath vaulted ceilings and handcrafted chandeliers or outside on the patio. The menus use local produce alongside seafood, meats and international ingredients, with reworked classics and Saint Lucian flavors appearing throughout the day.
The restaurant operates à la carte rather than as a buffet, an important distinction at an all-inclusive of this size. Meals feel unhurried, and the smaller dining room suits the intimate character of the resort.
An international wine list, top-shelf spirits and craft cocktails are included, with vegetarian and gluten-free dishes available. Your butler can also speak with the culinary team about food preferences or arrange a customized dining experience.
You are never required to leave the suite to eat. Twenty-four-hour room service is included, with meals served on the patio or delivered discreetly through a private meal box beside the entrance.
A dinner beside your pool may end up being one of the best meals of the trip, particularly when your suite is already one of the resort’s most romantic settings.
More Restaurants Next Door
Serenity has the intimacy of a boutique retreat, but its connection to the neighboring Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spagives you a much wider dining and activity offering.
Couples staying at Serenity can visit eight additional restaurants and seven bars at the sister resort. The choices range from casual Caribbean food and oceanfront dining to international restaurants, letting you change the experience from one evening to the next.
You can spend most of the trip within Serenity’s private enclave, then head next door when you want more activity or a different restaurant.
The arrangement gives the resort an unusual advantage: a 36-suite atmosphere paired with many of the amenities normally found at a much larger all-inclusive.
The Pool, the Beach and the Spa
The central pool has cabanas, loungers and a bar, although the private pools keep it from feeling crowded. Couples tend to drift between their suites and the main resort areas rather than gathering in one place all day.
The beach is nearby, with private cabanas that your butler can arrange. Coconut Bay’s broader waterfront also adds nonmotorized water sports and other activities when you want to spend more time on the sea.
Spa treatments can come to you. Therapists provide services inside the suite or on the private patio, including couples’ treatments designed around the privacy of your own space. You can also visit the oceanfront Sanctuary Spa at Coconut Bay, where treatments are offered near the water.
The ability to have a massage on your patio, followed by a soak and a swim in your own pool, captures much of what the resort does particularly well.
A Convenient Arrival in Southern Saint Lucia
Serenity is close to Hewanorra International Airport, Saint Lucia’s principal gateway for flights from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The drive from the terminal takes about five minutes, and complimentary private airport transfers are included. Instead of beginning your vacation with a long ride across the island, you can be inside your suite shortly after collecting your luggage.
The location also puts you on Saint Lucia’s southern side, closer to attractions including Soufrière, the Pitons, the Sulphur Springs and the island’s rainforest interior.
Your butler can arrange a private island tour, a boat excursion, horseback riding or a trip toward the Pitons. Yet the resort makes a strong case for spending at least several days doing very little beyond swimming, dining and enjoying the suite.
Who It’s Right For
Serenity is especially well suited to couples who place privacy above nightlife and large-resort entertainment.
The suites give honeymooners and anniversary travelers a setting designed around romance, but the appeal is broader. Any couple wanting a quiet all-inclusive with attentive service, excellent food and a substantial room will find a great deal to like here.
Every guest receives the plunge pool and butler experience. You do not need to reserve a top category to get the features that define the resort.
The best days may be the least complicated ones: breakfast on the patio, a swim in your pool, lunch delivered to the suite, an afternoon treatment and dinner at The Greathouse.
At many resorts, the room is where you return after the day is over. At Serenity, the suite can be the best part of the vacation.
What It Costs
Rooms start at around $1,109 right now, based on what I saw on Google Hotels’ portal. That’s the all-inclusive rate, based on double occupancy.
