By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belize can expect sunny skies mixed with cloudy spells today as slightly moist and somewhat unstable conditions affect the country.
The National Meteorological Service says a few showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible mainly along some coastal areas this morning.
By this afternoon, the activity is expected to shift mostly inland.
Temperatures will remain warm, with inland areas reaching a high of around 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Coastal temperatures will peak near 89 degrees, while the hills will reach around 84 degrees.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with generally isolated showers or thunderstorms. A few more could develop over southern Belize and some coastal areas late tonight.
Similar conditions are expected on Friday, although skies will become cloudy at times. Showers and thunderstorms should remain generally isolated, with slightly more activity possible over the south.
Forecasters say tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the region during the next 48 hours.
