So the premise is to collect additional income to improve existing electrical delivery and maybe even improve quality of said infrastructure. It would seem the offering of numerous ways and means to "reduce" ones electrical consumption would be detrimental to the "calculated ??" increases purportedly needed to substantiate their initiative. In other words who can say if the increased rate is adequate given end user improvements ?? My water supplier did the same thing. Compared themselves to larger more expensive entities around Indianapolis. Asked for double the cost of our water supply in order to grow their business in hopes of attracting 'more' customers, improve their equipment in neglect for upkeep and of course avoid borrowing costs that other businesses face with expansion choices interest FREE ! As a currently forced user of the utility I was offered no promise of improved water service or quality while they collect and spend their way to a more profitable future state.
