Diddy Pardon Hopes Crushed As Trump Announces Final Decision

Diddy gets shut out of Trump's pardon list again, leaving the music mogul to serve his full sentence without presidential intervention or clemency.

Diddy Pardon Hopes Crushed As Trump Announces Final Decision

Diddy got left off Trump’s pardon list on Friday afternoon, and the music mogul’s hopes for clemency just took another major hit.

After weeks of speculation about whether the president would grant him a presidential pardon, Trump announced his latest round of clemency decisions and Diddy wasn’t included, according to reports from CBS News.

The president instead focused on six individuals convicted of emissions violations, claiming they’d been persecuted by the Biden administration for what he called “fixing their car.”

Trump had been privately discussing Diddy’s case right up until his Friday afternoon meeting with advisers about clemency matters.

Neither Diddy nor other high-profile inmates seeking pardons were expected to make the recommendations list, but Trump ultimately had the final say on who would receive clemency.

The White House confirmed that “President Trump is the ultimate decider on any clemency related actions,” leaving the door technically open until the actual announcement came down.

But when Trump posted on Truth Social about his pardon decisions, Diddy’s name was nowhere to be found.

This marks the second time Trump has rejected Diddy’s pardon request.

Back in January, Trump told The New York Times that Diddy had sent him a handwritten letter seeking a pardon, but the president said he decided against it after reading the letter.

Now, even with reports suggesting the matter was still being discussed behind closed doors, Trump chose to move forward without granting clemency to the music mogul.

Diddy’s sentence is set to end in February 2028, meaning he’ll serve out his full term unless something changes.

Other high-profile figures who sought pardons also came up empty, including Grammy-winning rapper Pras Michel of The Fugees, who’s serving a 14-year sentence for foreign lobbying conspiracy charges over his connection to Malaysian financier Jho Low.
