Every Guest Jay-Z Brought Out During His Three Yankee Stadium Shows

Jay-Z took over Yankee Stadium for three straight epic shows in The Bronx this weekend. Hov continued celebrating the 30th anniversary of his classic Reasonable Doubt debut in 1996, as well as 25 years of 2001’s iconic The Blueprint, while mixing in various eras from his decorated catalog.

The Brooklyn rap deity also had plenty of surprises in store for fans in the form of star-studded special guests, which ranged from Beyoncé to Rihanna and Nas.

There were 19 guests in total, as Jay took fans on a joyride through his Hall-of-Fame career, while packing on the nostalgia from the last three decades about 12 miles from the Marcy Houses that raised him.

Breaking the Yankee Stadium attendance record on Saturday (July 11) led to chaos on Sunday night (July 12), which caused Hov to delay the show until around 12:45 a.m. ET, as thousands left stranded outside were finally let inside the stadium.

However, patience paid off for Sunday’s Roc-A-Fella army, who were treated to a loaded 40-plus track setlist and myriad guests to close out the three-night residency.

“Let me explain the delay to you guys,” Jay said to the fans shortly after hitting the stage for Sunday night’s show. “It was like 10,000 people outside, and they closed all the doors — because somebody rushed the doors — for you guys’ safety and for everybody’s safety outside. There’s 10,000 people outside; I didn’t want to start music and [get people trampled]. I’m really sorry for the inconvenience, but I had to make sure everybody’s okay. I appreciate y’all patience.”

With the bar set skyhigh, Hov will head across the pond for September shows in Paris and London before returning to the West Coast on Oct. 23 for an L.A. performance at SoFi Stadium.
