The Government of Saint Lucia has announced that all primary and secondary schools will be closed on December 1 and 2 to serve as polling stations for the General Election.
The two-day closure applies across the island and is intended to facilitate the smooth conduct of the December 1 vote.
To ensure classes resume on December 3, principals have been instructed to notify ancillary staff to prepare classrooms and other instructional spaces in advance.
