Hyatt Hotels Corporation has named Eduardo Schutte senior vice president of commercial for the Hyatt Inclusive Collection, placing him in charge of sales, revenue management, marketing, distribution, brand strategy and other commercial functions across the company’s all-inclusive portfolio.
The appointment takes effect July 27.
Schutte will report to Javier Águila, president of the Hyatt Inclusive Collection, and work with Hyatt Chief Commercial Officer Mark Vondrasek.
“Eduardo brings a rare combination of hospitality operating depth, sophisticated distribution expertise and enterprise-scale commercial leadership,” Águila said. “Under his leadership, I’m confident our commercial organization will reach new heights and play an even greater role in delivering on our ambition to be the world’s best all-inclusive organization.”
Schutte most recently served as chief commercial officer of Cross Border Xpress. His career spans more than 30 years across hospitality, travel technology and commercial operations, with previous roles at Grupo Posadas, TravelClick, LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels, Hilton and Amadeus.
His responsibilities at Hyatt will include strengthening commercial performance, increasing brand preference and expanding the company’s distribution capabilities across its all-inclusive brands.
The Hyatt Inclusive Collection now includes more than 150 resorts and nearly 58,000 rooms across the Caribbean, Latin America and Europe.
Hyatt has expanded the division through several major transactions, including its acquisition of Apple Leisure Group in 2021 and Playa Hotels & Resorts in 2025. The company also has a joint venture with Piñero covering the management of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts.
The portfolio has recently added Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa, Secrets Baby Beach Aruba and Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa.
Hyatt has also completed major renovations at Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort and Hyatt Zilara Cancun.
Additional openings planned before the end of 2026 include Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, Park Hyatt Riviera Maya and Grand Hyatt Los Cabos.
Schutte holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a degree in hotel management from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City
