THE City of Surrey’s 15th annual Surrey Tree Lighting Festival & Holiday Market returned to Surrey Civic Plaza on the weekend, unveiling a new outdoor ice rink with free admission and rentals. The Tree Lighting Ceremony took place with Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke and Councillors on Snowflake Stage. The festival featured live entertainment on four stages, over 25 vendors in the Holiday Market, photos with Santa, festive light displays, free amusement rides, the beloved tree lighting of Surrey’s 60-ft tree, and more. Admission was free.
